Growing up as a little girl in Nashville, TN, Canaan was fascinated by all things beauty-related. From a young age, she would spend hours playing with her mother’s makeup, and braiding her Barbies' hair. Eventually, her love of cosmetics and hairstyling motivated her to attend cosmetology school. In 2014, Canaan graduated from Paul Mitchell The School in Murfreesboro, TN with her Masters in hair cutting and coloring. While she was there, she realized that her true passion would lead her away from the traditional salon experience to the exciting path of event hairstyling and makeup artistry.

In 2015, Canaan decided to launch her hair & makeup career, and she has never looked back since. Since then, she has worked with clients from all over the world, has been published online and in multiple magazines, has had her work featured in art shows, and has won several awards including “Top Ten Best Makeup Artists in Nashville 2021” by WeddingRule.

As a professional makeup artist and hairstylist, Canaan prides herself on her ability to utilize certain skills, tips and tricks, and an array of high quality products to achieve just about any look for her clientele. From full glam to subtle natural beauty, she can do it all! Her passion for the industry and love for her clients help to keep her motivated when it comes to staying on top of the latest trends and beauty techniques.

Canaan currently resides in Mount Juliet, TN with her two daughters Ava and Adelynn, three cats, two dogs and an axolotl. In her spare time, Canaan enjoys spending time in her garden, walking in nature, reading books, crafting and antiquing. She loves the thrill and high intensity of her job, but also feels the most herself when she is at home in yoga pants, among her family, pets and plants.
