Key services include makeup applications, event hairstyling, makeup & hairstyling lessons, facials, spray tanning, and hair cut & color services.
DESCRIPTION
MHD Beauty Parlor is seeking a talented and experienced Hair & Makeup Artist to join our team. As a specialist in this role, you will be responsible for providing top-tier special event hairstyling services, makeup applications, and makeup/hairstyling lessons for our clients. We value creativity, expertise, and a commitment to excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional hair and makeup services to clients based on their preferences and needs.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in hair styling and makeup application.
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and offer professional recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and ensure all tools and equipment are sanitized before use.
- Uphold excellent customer service standards, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Collaborate effectively with other salon staff to create a cohesive and positive work environment.
- Promote salon products and services to clients as appropriate.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to further develop skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to salon policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and hygiene standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- MUST be available on Fridays & Saturdays. Will be required to schedule at least 3 Fridays & Saturdays per month. Sundays optional. Mention available schedule when applying.
- Tennessee Cosmetology license is required.
- Proven experience in special event hairstyling and makeup artistry.
- Strong knowledge of hair care products and techniques (we are a Redken salon).
- Willingness to develop a strong working knowledge of our cosmetics line, MHD Cosmetics.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to provide services efficiently and work within established time standards (45 mins for makeup, 45 mins for hairstyling).
- Optional: Interest in hair cutting & coloring services and/or spray tanning is a bonus. Please mention when applying.
