Makeup Maverick - Madison H. Dennis Opens Nashville’s Newest Beauty Salon Concept
Celebrities Show Support at VIP Party & Grand Opening Celebration for the New MHD Beauty Parlor in Berry Hill
Nashville, TN – April 24, 2023 – MHD Beauty Parlor, a boutique makeup and hairstyling focused salon concept, opened their doors with two events to include a VIP event and Grand Opening Celebration. The VIP event was attended by country music artists HARDY and Jillian Cardarelli, actor Miles Burris (NBC’s Young Rock) and media personality Kelly Sutton among the notable “Who's Who” crowd that came out to celebrate the makeup maverick’s new venture. Kelly Sutton also led the educational panel discussion – From Red Carpet to Date Night Fabulous, How to Look Your Best – with MHD Beauty Parlor’s own Madison H. Dennis and celebrity stylist Peyton Dale.
Madison Hardy Dennis (MHD) is the CEO and Founder of MHD Beauty and the new MHD Beauty Parlor. The parlor is the culmination of Madison’s unique journey to becoming one of Nashville’s most sought-after makeup artists in the industry.
“I am so excited about the new salon concept and the opportunity to educate and serve our clients during the most important events of their lives,” said Madison H. Dennis. “This location will allow us to do some unique things like focus on education with classes as well as the ability for small groups to book the salon as a whole. Madison left her corporate career in the music industry and launched MHD Cosmetics in 2015, a full line of luxury cosmetics, to meet the growing needs of her clientele. She’s known for her work with high profile clients in the music industry, pageants and weddings. With that in mind, Madison created the unique salon concept of MHD Beauty Parlor designed to serve as Nashville’s one-stop-shop for those getting ready for an important event such as a wedding, photo shoot, pageant, anniversary, speaking engagement, etc. The Parlor will carry the full line of MHD Cosmetics at the salon for purchase as well as online at MHDCosmetics.com.
Madison is carving out her own path in the beauty industry and enjoys empowering clients through her work and others in the beauty industry to follow their dreams as well.
About Madison H. Dennis
As the daughter of a chicken farmer, Madison witnessed her father’s entrepreneurial spirit and how he ran the farm business. She grew to appreciate the flexibility he had as a business owner – always available when she and her brother got home from school. As a young girl she had dreams of a career as a country music artist or a cosmetologist. She moved to Nashville in 2007 to attend Belmont University and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Music Business. She then began a career in music licensing with Viacom Media Networks (MTV, CMT, Vh1, etc.).
Madison’s brother, Michael Hardy, joined her in Nashville to also pursue a career in music. Madison quickly realized that she no longer wanted to be center stage, so she began to put her efforts into helping her brother pursue his own music career. Known as HARDY, Michael and Madison share a bond and love of music as he now shines on the center stage.
After competing for the title of Miss Tennessee in 2013, Madison began receiving requests to style other contestants for the upcoming preliminary season, and eventually traveled to other states with an established pageant hair and makeup team. That experience led her to dive head-first into the beauty industry. After spending many years working in the music industry and corporate America, she knew she needed a more flexible lifestyle. As a wife and mother of two, she began to carve out her own path and follow her other dream of being a beauty professional.
In 2015, Madison stepped away from her career in the entertainment industry with Viacom to become a full-time entrepreneur and business owner - launching MHD Beauty & MHD Cosmetics.
Prior to launching her own cosmetic line, Madison mixed and matched products because there wasn’t one product line she loved. While educating her clients about makeup and how to implement her techniques at home, she felt she was doing them a disservice by sending them all over town to purchase various products at different retail locations. So Madison began to explore options where she could provide her own beauty products to her clients quickly and conveniently. She eventually found the right product partners and the MHD Cosmetics line was born.
After graduating from beauty school and spending many years before that as a freelance artist, styling hundreds of clients for weddings, pageants and visual media shoots, she opened her first brick and mortar location in 2019 and is proud to open her newest location MHD Beauty Parlor in Berry Hill, just south of downtown Nashville.
